I made a key & a lock for a door & the lock works when I opening the door. But I made the master copy with this key for my friend, he can not open the door anyway. It's a bug or wrong operation?

You need to attune the key to whomever is going to be using it, so pick up the key and right click your friend with the key picked up, then it should work for him.

Any advice to you which i found out the hard way 2 weeks ago.
Open a new account , roll an alt char.
Make a Copy of Master Key & attune it to that char.
Give all your key to that char & keep only the slave key to yourself.

Reason : When your main char gets killed , he can inherit your claim but NOT THE KEYS. now you can only make new master key or slave key using the master key that
is attune to that Char that create the key or attuned to. I was killed 2 weeks ago & found that i can't make new master key even when i have the old master key

can you make a key that anyone can use, even if you don't attune it? my computer can't run two clients at the same time so I can't attune a key to an alt. I have to give the alt a key they can use

I'm not completely sure, but I don't think it matters who's holding the key when they attune it. Might work using it on themselves?

Unfortunately No . All the keys that you make is automatically attune to the creator during creation . The creator can then attune the copy of master key and slave key to other char.

well at least people can't steal your keys and use them
