Grinding to a halt (solved)

Postby dageir » Sat Apr 13, 2013 9:03 am

After the last update Salem seem sto have slowed down considerably. It seemed to start after I got the last updater to be able to run Ender.
Thing is it seems to affect standard client aswell. Worringly my processor usage is 100% all the time when I run Salem. My character moves very non-fluently and can get stuck in one place for many seconds. This makes hunting deer pretty dangerous. I have tried to remove Java and reinstall it, but it wont let me becaue it says some programs are using it even when no programs are running. As it is now no actions are doable. Anyone got any tips on this? Sorry to make a new thread on this, but earching for the word bug, lag and so on will yield tons of results that do not adress this specific setting.

Edit: Ok things got alot better after I tweaked the virus software.

I my case I suspect it was the energy saving software... it detects when the computer needs lots of power, and it seems with Salem sometimes it takes a while to detect I need the power... luckily doesn't happen often and there's an option to set the performance for high or auto manually

Umm... Titanium something. The "tweak": I removed it.
