Trapped on a cliff with a pile of dirt.

Postby Hans_Lemurson » Sat Apr 13, 2013 7:15 am

I recently climbed a small pinnacle with an open 1x1 area at its top. I decided that from that stable ground, I should dig it down into proper flatness.

I am now stuck on top of a pinnacle holding a pile of dirt. I cannot place the dirt back down because "The area is too steep to support more". I have tried placing down the dirt clump as one would a boulder, but have had no success with this.

I do not wish to log out, since although that will drop the clump and get me home, I will drop my inventory (containing 10 crickets and some metal tools) and I fear that many items, when dropped, will find themselves lodged inaccesibly inside the cliffs that surround me.

Is there any way to free myself from my burden?

Stuuuck! :(

I thought exiting and logging back in caused the dirt to drop (or disappear).

Ok, I force-quit the application and when I logged back in, I was in the same spot and there was no dirt clump. I was concerned because this had happened once before where i did lose my inventory, although I think an "out of memory exception" may have been involved. Don't remember all the details.

Just log out normally. Force quit doesnt always log you out.

It said I couldn't log out at that time. That was probably due to the fact that I was in combat with a cliff-trapped cricket when I decided to go for a climb.

I had this once as well, and the game wouldn't let me log out because I was carrying dirt. I guess some update changed that since then.
When it happened to me, I had to wait for my friend to build a ramp up to the (high) cliff to get away.

Btw, if ever your items get stuck in a cliff, almost any cliff in the game can be removed, with some digging effort.
Did Claeyt shut up yet?

Good chance it fell into the cliff, and due to it's shape/size, you can't see it.
