Geographical Purity Variance: Your observations

Here is what I have noticed:

-The Purity of Water, Minerals, Forageables, and Animals all seem to vary across the terrain.

-The Terrain is randomly divided into "purity zones" which blend into each other at the borders resulting in smooth gradients of purity change as you travel, and detectable "Peaks". The north shore of my Lake has Sulphur-rich water, the South has Lead-rich, and the middle of the lake is slightly rich in both Sulphur and Lead.

-The different categories of purity seem to be independent of each other. The purity of a Lilypad Bulb has no relation to the purity of the water it sits on.

-The highest water purity I have seen so far is 35.34 mercury in a stream right next to my enemy's base. :evil:
I'm sure there's better stuff out there.

-All animals in a spawning-group have identical purity.

-Plants in one area will all tend to be of similar purity relative to each other. (Do plants spawn in clusters? I once harvested two Devil's worts which had identical purity.)

-The plants and animals around my Sulfur/Lead mine seemed to be rich in Sulfur/Lead. Coincidence?

-All existing trees seem to have 0% purity. Their cuttings, branches and maple-leaves are all 0%.

Questions:
Is the purity of a Mine Node related to the purity of nearby Water, Clay or Lime?

Good observations. I'm actually interested in the highest alchemical purity found and what people have for proficiencies.

I've found ~35.1 zone lime on a char with 28 mines and mountains.
~35.6 zone clay with 36 pots and pans.

Not sure if I raise proficiencies and come back if there will be any real difference.

I'm interested to know if water purity is affected by a proficiency.
So far the highest i found is 3% and i walked a good deal to many different streams.
I really makes no sense tbh, 2% at the spring of a stream, downstream it goes to 3% :shock:
Must be all those deer ***** in it which make it more pure.
This is going to be a lot of work getting water and other resources with the right and high alchemy. :roll:
Jusrt when i thought i found the perfect game, this happens...

Why are you complaining about water purity? All water is now more pure than it was two days ago. If you don't want to "deal" with it, just ignore the purity of the water.

When you have only <insert alchemy here> cereal seeds/flour and for hours around you there is no <insert alchemy here> water anywhere to be found, you might understand why i'm complaining about it.

It's a waste of time to do any of this unless you are content with 30% seeds endgame.

Even with high proficiencies you won't find anything higher than 10%, water, meat, herbs, stone etc.

Hmm 30% purity is like 150 ql in HnH?
Multiplier is slightly below 4x

I find that % Purity is a poor indicator. The elemental composition is more valuable in terms of telling you what it's interactions and combinations are. %Purity is ok for final product, but it's the Multiplier which really matters.

So far some of the highest alchemies I have found are in the upper 30s low 40s. Never seen anything 50 or above yet.
