Tree's and slopes

Can trees only be planted on flat ground or is it possible to slopeplant them, If so, how slopey is the slope allowed to be.

They can be planted on even the slopiest (is that a word?) terrain. No limits

good to know, I already shoveled dirt up this hill for a week just to get a nice flat 54x54 plateau, anymore and i'd go mad
