I'm only asking because I'm fairly certain I didin't drop them in the water on being KOd, when I came back all of my items were there save the charms.

The 3d models of some items are VERY SMALL. Drop some "berries on a straw" to see what I mean. Try searching the area at high zoom.

Also it is possible that items can be dropped inside of trees or under stumps and thus be fairly inaccessible.

Where did you KO? If nearby town chances are someone strolled by while you respawned and were walking back and took your charm disregarding the rest as junk.

I think there are some items though that do disappear on dropping - like abandoned cobwebs and brilliant dew I believe...

I've nearly lost berries on a stick. Its like oh Ill just pick this smooth stone up, study it, then pick up the berries. instead I'm staring at the ground like an idiot trying to find the little dots that are my berries.

I second the theory that they are just really tiny. try changing to another camera setting so you can zoom more

also I'm jealous that you even had one! I had like 9 arrow heads but no feathers.

Well I think some forageable vanish when you drop them. Just lost a cobweb and a big worm inspirationals by mistake droping them. And I'm positive they're not hidden under a stump or anything. Just disapeared

To note, some items have NO model, and so if dropped, really do disappear. Last I recall, savage charms, do, so to answer the question, no, unless one of the conditions above was met.
