This is supposed to help the lowbies, by encouraging meaningful discussion about why which biome is best. Biased votes are going to ruin the poll.

Witch hat forest is best because I get paid for choosing it.

This is a poll made to help new players decide where to settle. Don't be ***** in Help.

The old logs are great in a conf forest as well. Tis also a great supply of thorn bushes.

I enjoy forest the most due to the abundant amount of animals, water, mushrooms for lower level, inspirationals, and for the wood. Also i like the look

i prefer coniferous, for the fact that

1) I like the look :) not flashy like marsh or autumnal
2) there's plenty of wood, old stumps and trees to go round
3) a lot of forageables, notably singing old logs are pretty common for me now

con:

1) It's hard to be invisible on the minimap. it requires a lot of patience (only digging very small pieces at a time to keep the "randomness", to prevent large uniform patches from forming on the minimap.

2) early on, missing the autumn grass for hay can be a big pain, as well as milkweeds nowadays, I guess.

Please add the swamp biome to the poll. It's not technically a full biome as it only occurs in patches, but they are great to live near. They are characterized by green color with what looks like shallow water pools (but doesn't count as water). The foragables include all mushrooms in great quantity and anything that can be found on a beach/shallow water, except driftwood.

If you update a poll it wipes all votes before the update, since you can't build on swamp terrain I've left it out
