I've been looking for a clay pit for hours but haven't been able to locate one. Can anyone show me what they might look like on the radar or where they are more likely to appear?

What server are you on? I can show you one on the world map

Clay now looks like very light dirt (what dirt looked like last week). And on the mini-map it looks like the dirt texture, but lighter.

Clay pits will also often have a curving arc as one of their edges, since their formation in the world is height-dependent. That arc is the curve of cliffs, and the base of cliffs tend to be lower than the surrounding terrain.

A screenshot will take me a while. I am a long way from a clay pit. I live next to lime and make clay in a trough.

Stumbled onto a clay pit with my wandering alt. Here's the screenshot:

The whiter stuff to the East on the minimap is a lime quarry.

Would you be able to do that screenshot again with the topographic overlay on the minimap?
The western edge of the pit looks like it's in-line with the cliffs.
(I suppose you've probably wandered away from there though...)
