Phlem Phlam [SOLVED]

Ive read through the Gluttony documents, and studied various foods, but im still a little confursed about how to Raise particular Humours.

My current humors are
Blood: 14
Phlegm: 8
Yellow: 11
Black: 15

I built up a massive pile of foods with good Phlegm numbers, and started chowing down loike crazy.... it went up by 1 after a full main bag and box of food... Blood went up by 2. And 1 point in something else.

From what I understand, you dont want to raise one more than 5 points above your lowest. But, it seems like no matter how hard I try, phlegm just sucks.

Would anyone be so kind as to layout a brief outline of the particular foods I could use for raising Phlegm?

The wiki suggested milkwort roots, garlic or snails, but none of those raised my Phlegm even a single point. And, after spending a whole day lookin for snails, its ridiculous.

The wiki also suggested using milkwort root inbetween other foods because they are fast. What is the point of this? I dont understand the benefit to using these low number foods inbetween other foods?

I think I understand the basics of the system, im just, either not using the right foods, or not eating them in right order or something.

Thanks for any advice.

Wild Salad
Lean Rabbit

When you can make 3 Virginians that is very good

This is what ive been using. Working on building up a new batch now.

Wild Salad
Lean Wabbits
and Lumberjack Frikadels.

Ill check out the Roasted Rabbit Cuts.

Is there any benefit to order, or how you eat? Or just start wolfin it all down as quickly as possible?

If you can just spam wild salads, screw everything else for now.

Whenever you eat a new food during gluttony, the "invariance" penalty gets decreased by 1. If you're trying to do gluttony with a lot of low-valued foods, or reach very high levels, you will need to include some variety in there to offset the invariance drain.

I'm gonna modify that milkweed recommendation on the wiki, since milkweed is not quite as fast as I thought when I wrote that (oops). Huckleberries eat pretty quick, though!

Wild Salads though are quite good. Very phlegmy. Only "grassland" biomes have both Oakworth AND Milkweed though, so it's not always an easy option. Lean Rabbit is fairly reliable though, and I would recommend that.

Pumpkin Pie is great for Phlegm, but you won't be able to make that until you've got farming underway. Personally I used slugs and rabbit all the way to 20.

Great advice everyone. I actually started earning some Phlegm lately.

Ive been using WalkOnWildSide, after taking down a Deer. As well as WildSalad, and some others thrown in between.

Thanks everyone!
