So,
my rather cramped base is growing even more cramped as we speak, and as such I'd like to mine out my mine a bit.
The problem is, my smelters can't keep up with the rate at which I want to mine, and so i'm stuck with a very slowly growing mine. Building more smelters isn't really an option right now.

Is there a way to efficiently get rid of ore boulders? Of course I can chip them away completely, and drop all the ores (or do it with my stamp mill), but that would take a pretty long while too. Does anyone know of a good way of getting rid of them ?

btw: i don't really care for the ores. I've got a small-size smelting operation set up that provides me with all the ores I need right now. Once my base is built out a bit more, i'll be expanding, but not rightnow

Unless it was changed, you can log out in a shallow water while carrying the ore boulder. It will disappear. Tedious, too.
Other than that, I don't think so.

If you don't want the ore why don't you just put them outside your base?

couldnt you just drop em in the water to get rid of them instead of having to log out

p.s. expand your claim a bit and use em as a secondary security fence

my base is pretty close to water, so i'll try it out. Won't be too hard with two people pulling sleds.
We're only talking about 50-100 boulders I want to lose in any case, so that should be alright. Thanks!

because then I'd have to toss them around and stuff whenever I want to expand (which I eventually will have to). Also, i'm slightly OCD about my base, can't have stuff lieing around! I'd much rather use spare place for timber piles than ore boulders.
