First... I haven't found anything in logs for ages... have they nerfed it?

Second.... Are stumps in the darkness nerfed? went for a wander and found nothing at all... usually get at least a stone or a chestnut, but in two hours nothing at all! Is this normal?

My understanding is that Logs and Stumps get stuff randomly added when the chunk they are in is loaded. If the patch of darkness you're in is rarely traveled, its stumps and logs will have had little chance to accumulate their treasures.

The Anthropic Principle is at work here.

I've never found anything in logs. Not sure if I have been unlucky or nothing spawns in them (or such a low rate it isn't worth looking).

Did the first couple of days, but nothing since, so not sure if it was just people dumping stuff, but yeah I pretty much dont bother with logs anymore.

Same here. Not unless someone else put it in there.

Yeah, I think log spawning is a myth caused by people occasionally using them for storage. I've never found anything in an old log that wasn't put there by someone else.

Edit: logs not stumps.

Never found anything in a log. I am in a region with plenty full stumps and full berry bushes. So noone beat me to it.
