Are there granite quarries in the game?
If so, how do you identify them (do they appear different color / texture on map?)
So far every rock terrain I dig produces plain stone boulders.

No granite quarries, you have to either forage for granite or find granite boulders lying in the wilderness. They are most common in badlands

Oh darn, hopefully they will make it so some stone quarries produce granite in the future

Anyway, how many units of granite does one boulder produce, anyone know?

I would go to all out war over a territory with a granite quarry.
Imagine 2-3 of them TOTAL on the whole map. Could be interesting.

Mountains are an even better place to look for granite than badlands.

most boulder values are correct but I'm certain that the Stone Boulder has more than 40 stones in it, it's more like 80-100 I never brothered to check exactly how much.
