Hello!

I am having a problem, i put up a town bell, and it is wonderful and working. I can pick up money and right click on it to put in money, but when i simply right click it to check how much money there is in the village, it just offers "Renounce mayorship" how do i check how much money i have in my town bell?

That seems...non-intuitive. Are there in-game instructions pertaining to this, or are you just supposed to know?

I'll add that ctrl+p thing to the wiki for now.

click the button next to the buddy list (in ender's client) its a gavel that is the town roster also shows town total upkeep bank with current and max allowed. which you can only access while in a town, so hermits will see it grayed out until they are a member of a town (either as mayor or normal towny)
if you do not want to use the default Ctrl +p
