What is the normal failure rate for planting trees?

My last batch of trees consisted of almost 30 saplings and all but 3 or 4 were dead. When I logged in I was met with rows and rows of dead sticks.

Is this normal?

Depends on your S&C and NP skills. With 100 S&C and 60 NP I had around 60-70% success chance

I assume that you mean 40 rather than 4,000?

This is good to know, since I just started my first test-batch of Saplings and so shouldn't be shocked to find them all dead.

I don't see it going up much past 60% on a regular basis.

Have even raised NP to 100 from 45 and that did not affect things at all the last 2 harvests.

Maybe it would help if your name weren't Fail?

Also, Yourgrandmother, what was your S&C when you had that 60% success rate? And is that the stat to which you attribute your success rate?

S&C is definitely a factor, my S&C is secret but it seems to have hit a peak of diminishing returns with successful sprouts.

Fair enough. Perhaps you might recall some other data points that others might have disclosed? Or wouldn't mind perhaps letting us know that DR point (if it's not absurdly telling)?
