Maybe I'm wrong, but yesterday I have had the impression, that march hares - as long as they are disguised as bunnies - do not run away. Could you please take a closer look when hunting bunnies without ranged weapons, if my observation is correct...

Interesting...
I have only encountered one March Hare so far, and it was with my first test-firing of my slingshot. I thought "DAMN that's a Beefy bunny! ...Oh ****."
I don't recall whether it ran away or not though. I'll try to frighten each bunny I see before hunting it and see if I encounter a non-fleeing rabbit.

Seems like this would be a bug. keep trying to replicate that and send a PM to jorb and loftar

I just had a second encounter with a March Hare. I was testing hunting techniques without a slingshot (using stomp to aggro) and cam across two rabbits. I ran up to them and one of them fled out of range of my stomp, while the other did not.
The one that did not flee became a March Hare.
I'd be willing to call that a confirmation, since it didn't flee at all.

A picture of standing next to a rabbit, and then a second one of combat with a march hare in the same position would illustrate it beautifully.

i didnt try to attack it, but i live close to the darkness so i meet alot of march hares (feels like 1 in 5 is) and ive tried running into all the bunny spawns ive seen, and 2 times ive had one rabbit stand still, so there might be somthing to this.
