Flattening around Claim

So I have a nice claim, 900m2, but I have a problem. All the land is flat, except for a couple blocks around my claim stone. When I try to fill in around the claim stone, it says "Not enough clearance." Is there any way around this? My OCD'ness is going crazy! :o

Nope. Nothing you can do. Think ahead because it is usually that way around all permanent fixtures like walls or houses.

Unless your OCDness is bad enough you're willing to declaim it so that your claim stone vanishes. I think you lose all the silver you put into it though, and you'd have to build and expand a new one.

My claim-stone blocks a dirt-corner which is ONE UNIT HIGHER than the surrounding terrain!!!!

There is a slight bulge and nothing I can do about it. :(

At least you're mostly flat. I cannot for the life of me get the hang of digging and leveling. My damn claim looks like an archeological dig site!

Have you read the "How to UI" thread? I made sure I included instructions on how digging worked. It does take a good bit to get used to, but is easy once you get the hang of it. The important thing is making sure you dig from center so all corners are lowered to the same height.
