Can't build...Rocks

My second day playing. I figured I would settle next to the beach, since it looked nice and had a good mix of items nearby. Now I've realized I can't build on this rocky land near the beach...I guess I'm just screwed?
The sweat and blood shed by its people had established a strong foundation upon which the most powerful entity in the world would be built.

Are you trying to build on the sand tile itself or a stone quarry? Either way, you can't build most things on those.

Oh...I guess it is sand. Looks like it has a lot of rocks in it, lol. So I have to just spend another 150s on a new place?

Pretty much, expanding the claim to cover a place you can build on would probably be more expensive than just just buying a new writ.
