Guides and wiki to this game so much to read, and my question is simple do I can use axe as weapon? Or I stuck only to brawling attack untill I dont invent something better in skills? Its annoying to be wipe out by instect.

Your axe is not used as a weapon (don't ask me why). If you use the "punch" attack, then no matter what you're wielding, you punch your target.

"Thrust" is the first attack that uses/requires a weapon, and for that you'll need a sword.

Ultimately though, every attack has it's damaged based on your Yellow Bile (with a different modifier and cost for different attacks), rather than the stats of the weapon used.
