cauldrons? are they used for anything?

I am at the point where I am not sure where to put skill ups. Is cauldronmaking worth anything ? I have not seen any recipe requiring one.

hmmm thats what I was afraid of lol. I dont have any pvp skills but seems pointless without the humors to back them up. Any suggestions what a hermit should concentrate on raising?

If by pvp you mean I could maybe kill new players with even lower humors, thats not my idea of fun. I am thinking I will go with hammer and nail to get my planed percentages up.

If you're hermitting, you really will want to work on a little bit of everything. For your crafting character, you should start on stocks&cultivators and hammer&nails, this will get you good bonuses to planting and better planing %'s on boards.
After you get set up, make a combat character even if you don't plan to pvp. If/when you get raided, it's better to lose a character meant to die than one than is capable of raising those other characters up.
