Shadows = Endless Crashing

I unfortunately enabled rendered shadows on my Salem client and now the game keeps crashing.

Whats worse is that there is no way for me to change the settings back without resulting in another crash. I tried uninstalling the game, but that didn't help. Someone mentioned in a previous post that if you can find the main Salem folder then you can either completely delete the folder and then reinstall, or change one of the config files. Unfortunately I can't find the main Salem folder. I looked in my C:\User\[name]\ and the C:\User\[name]\AppData\ folder but couldn't find anything.

I would really appreciate some help on this issue.

The issue is the same with the same temporary solutions despite different operating systems. Please follow up with that thread or another related post in the Bugs forum.
