Two questions:

-How do you pluck a turkey? I can butcher them just fine, but plucking? The option doesn't appear.
-Where do you find corn seeds? Can't seem to purchase them in Boston, nor are there any forageable precursors.

You need a domesticated turkey. You cant pluck wild ones.
Not sure if you need some skill for it though.
And for the seeds you cant buy them from NPC. They were given to players for thanksgiving so youll need to buy them from a player.

Turkey Farming for plucked turkeys. Build a coop, then catch a male and a female turkey (knock them out in combat and pick them up). Put the into the coop, hen under the male, and add some food to the coop. In a few days they will lay an egg - leave the egg alone. When it hatches into a poult, move it off to the side.
Once your two wild turkeys lay both a male and female poult, kill off the two wild ones and let the new, domestic ones, make more babies. These will all be pluckable.

I feel the need to stress the point that the hen lays eggs. Its not a joint effort.

Oh, ok, only domesticated turkeys can be plucked. Is there any indication as to whether a particular turkey is wild or domestic, or do you just have to "know" based on whether they were born in the coop or kidnapped?

Hmm...corn seeds only come from "colonial relief packages" it seems. Ok, good to know I'm not missing some glaringly obvious resource.

As far as I know, you cannot distinguish from a wild or domestic live turkey. When either are dead, you will be able to tell whether the flower menu says butch or pluck (feral or domestic). Your best bet is to make some sort of system where your wild turkeys are in one section of the coop, say the bottom row, and all new poults arrive else where. You might then choose to place all newly domesticated ones at the top row until you have enough for your purposes. There is no real reason you must start with just one wild hen and one wild rooster. I say go for a bunch of hens (still, only need 1 rooster) to speed up the initial eggs laid.

I want to emphasize the need to not touch the eggs. If you pick it up it will no longer hatch, even if you put it back in the coop.

One last tidbit. While i have not experimented myself, I have heard that wild turkeys poop and lay eggs less often then domesticated ones. This may be rumor as it brings up the question: what if I have a domestic hen but wild rooster? Maybe someone else can chime in and offer more insight.

Hmm...how do you get a colonial relief package?

Alas, just like the recent Beta Tester Package (available at your local post office if you had an account before open beta) the Colonial Relief package was a Thanksgiving gift from the Dev's. It contained some corn seeds, corn bread, a plucked turkey, a dream catcher inspirational... and maybe one more thing.

There has also been a Christmas stocking sent out in the same fashion. You can check the announcement thread for details on those items.

So all corn that exists on the servers has it's origins in these special events? Hmm...that means that it's technically possible for corn to go extinct (although with alt-vaults, it's extremely unlikely).

Anyways, I got lucky and saw some yellow corn seeds for sale in a stall and snatched them up. Maize, here I come!
