Hello there,

It's been a while since I did any farming (6 months to be fair) and now I am back in the game and I wanted to start over.
First of all I got this Yellow corn in the post - a good start but too few recipes. Then I will get pumpkins and cereals ofc and here comes the question:
In the past you had to rotate crops to get to higher tier seeds - is the Salem Wiki: Farming still accurate?
And if I want to increase the purity of a seed I must replant just this seed over and over again?
Alternatively I can buy high purity seeds from other players but then they waned me i can spoil ? the purity - any tips on what fields or how to plant those?

Any info/tips/updates on the matter will be appreciated.

Regards,
John Keel

i'm sorry, but there are several topics on this already, as well as a very nicely written wikia article

if your question just was whether the wiki is still accurate, why not just toss that in IRC?

by the way: this far in the server it's actually cheaper to buy seeds from players. it's less silver & will start you with much higher purity

Thank you for the input and sorry but I haven't used IRC in a decade so a bit rusty there.
Things have changed since my days evidently - purity now spiking randomly and high purity going down also randomly - tough luck for farmers I guess.

The farming wiki is still accurate, if a little hard to understand.

Every field you plant has a chance to go up or down in purity so the more fields you plant with one seed purity, the more likely you are to get better seeds back. Try planting fields in groups of 8 or more.
