Is there a way to add branches to a fireplace/kiln/oven that's faster than dragging them one at a time to the fireplace and rightclicking on it?

I was super-happy when I found that when constructing a building, Shift+Scroll-wheel while hovering over the material in question lets you just suck it up from your inventory. It made making an expensive building not a total pain in the ass.

Does any such shortcut exist for this for adding fuel, though?

Hold shift when you r-click and you'll automatically pick up the next like item. You can then immediately right click that into whatever you're working with. This works for any operation when adding an item into a structure to "fuel" something: fireplace, oven, smelters, compost bins, planter pots, etc.

To add to what MagicmanICT said, you have to have the first piece of fuel on your cursor and then hold shift and you can spam right click objects to fill the fuel meters.

Yay! I will try this out. It will certainly make things easier.
