what I have found (with only tier 1 fields)
Phlegm: oatmeal crackers ALL THE WAY. They can easily get you up to 40 phlegm, without too much purity
Black bile: cabbage cakes ALL THE WAY. Same as oatmeal crackers
YBile/Blood: these two are almost always raised in unison. Slightly harder until you reach higher tiers (aka cabbage crumbs). Mushroom pies work pretty well, bluebearies are even better if you play with someone else that can kill bears. As mentioned before, once you reach green cabbages on your fields cabbage crumbs are the shizzle.

This is as far as I've gotten personally, but these can easily get you up to 40 humours, with a little purity seeds.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

I'm not expert, but when I went to raise phlegm, I tend to use:
  • Pumpkin pies
  • Virginian Shellroast
  • Turkey cuts

get green cabbage and make cabbage crumbs for yellow bile, it is not hard to do.

Use oatmeal crackers and pumpkin pies for phlegm.

These only work if you can drive the purity though.
Salt cereal/cabbage for crumbs, merc crackers, lead cabbage cakes, merc or lead pumpkin pies, and various mushroom pies will give yb too but with crumbs you don't use much since it gives blood as well.

You can make wildberry pies easy for yellow bile but it is not high stats.

lowbie (under 30s) yb is easy to raise with warbites. simple case of getting a fireplace burnt down to coals or building a meatsmoker then farming crickets like a coke addict those will easily get you high YB some mushroom pies will help/work abit but without correct purities you may get P or B instead. so thats kind of risky but highly doable.

blood is easy to raise with any meat types hell sunday steak or even planksteak can get you decently high B/P depending on the random % other then that pumpkin pies for P are good, and cabbage cakes at early levels will net you insane BB (easy to get upwards of 100BB off low purity cabbage cakes. even easier if you are part of a village that has high purity flour and cabbage)

under 10 biles you can make do with shroom on a stick+bluet mushroom and some sizzled slugs, berries on a straw and wild salad. if you can manage it "a walk on the wild side" (rabbit/deer/beaver cuts) is good food for P under 20s and if you are hermitting without a high/strong farming econ

Hi, if you are pretty new to the game I would assume you are raising your humours as a forager/hunter. From personal experience, I think that Yellow Bile is most tedious to raise based on foraging. You should gather as much Lavender Blewits (the blue mushrooms found in swamps and sometimes grassland)as you can manage, make some into "Shrooms-on-a-stick", and keep some of the Blewit for your gluttony sessions as well. Prepare your ingredients/food in advance to avoid frustration. Study the values of the food you are intending to use. Wortbaked Warbites are more tedious to gather, but I think it should help until your YB is around 40 or so. As for phlegm, I raised it mainly on roasted slugs, the other snail dishes, and "A Walk on the Wild Side". Beavers/deers can be handled quite comfortably with a little skill, 30 humours (with fencing and maybe fast moves) is very possible with caution and some practice.

If you are already doing agriculture, YB is quite easily raised by making cabbage rolls (2 meat shreads + 2 cabbage leaves). Sometimes it raises more blood, but it really depends on which element of cabbage you are using (I was using 40%+ mercury seeds). But cabbage rolls are great as they require little effort to craft once you get your cabbage farm started, and they are consumed quickly during gluttony. I agree with the rest on oatmeal crackers+pumpkin pies for phlegm, and of course, mushroom pies for YB/Blood.

Good luck!

this is no longer required.
You can now cook food like that even if the fireplace is still burning.

I dont know Kandarim, iv never had food cook in fireplaces when its actively burning even post update :/ though i tend to use meatsmokers as those are 8 tiles(8 foods) instead of 4 from a fireplace.
i do know you can access it and view both coal and burning fuel(s) level just never had anything cook for me be it milkweed or three virginians until it was switched to coals
