Any reason to build a house?

Postby Hans_Lemurson » Mon Feb 18, 2013 11:25 pm

Is there any reason to build a Pilgrim's Hovel? What does a house DO for you? Does it provide any additional protection or storage space? I understand that you can build a long-burning stove in it, but that's a few skills away. Do houses do anything useful beyond that (besides make your place look like a "home")?

They make a nice place to hide from bad guys. Also you can run in your house and port to boston in an emergency.

Yesh, buildings got 1 feature wich is stove's, most of the recipe's can be maked in a fireplace/oven but its quite nice to have a stove.

You need the house for a cauldron too, and you can put carcasses inside to preserve them forever.

First I will steal your cauldron, then knock your house down and lean to :)
You are welcome in advance. (I'm only trying to raise my Destruction skill.)

Another question about houses which may or may not come up at some point in the near future: What happens to the containers stowed in a house if it gets smashed? Do they disappear, or do they stay put on the ground in the positions that they had in the house? 'Cause if it's the former, why would anybody build a house ever?

I mean aside from the stove.
