The fate of Boston

Hello there,

I was away for a few months due to relocation in the real world. When I came back this week everything I built was destroyed - my house, my tools/equipment, my claim stone etc. Needless to say how I felt - someone could have just used them, I wouldn't mind. Also my mine is now claimed by someone else and ... to spare you the drama I heard there are 3 servers now and Boston will become a ghost town. Is that true, should I migrate (if possible) or should I start fresh out there (man, it took weeks to learn half the skills)?

Regards,
John Keel

Your belongings could have just decayed, pclaim drops now after 1-2 months if not filled up with silver upkeep and then all your stuff would disappear with some time, or could be claimed by others.
Yes now there are 3 servers. No big difference actually, all are ghost servers in some kind of way...
Plymouth is dominated by Chief
Roanoke by Russians
Jamestown by Darwoth
You are free to choose what you prefer ;)

It should become possible to move between servers in future so if your character is developed theres no need to start over.

So far I have 20s on all 4 stats + farming/cooking at max or 1 skill short (they introduced Forestry). I think I will stick with Boston until they make the ships to other towns(servers) available. Also as soon as I get some iron/nails I will start rebuilding my home - can't be that hard can it :)

Is jamestown really "dominated" by Darwoth? Surely, one person cannot dominate whole server. I understand he might be top griefer on Jamestown but that's not dominating yet, is it?

I followed a mad shifty lookin hefter north of boston (roanoke) and started probing for grief, got dropped by a Russian, he mugged me and left (was my main so me shepards pie in the kaks were easily cleanable) so I'd go for roanoke. The long and and short of it is there's not a total amount of griefing going on. The Cyrillic spoutin lads are alright in my book.... Jamestown smells like ass and Plymouth has the biggest ass...
