How do you wash Milkweed Fiber in a bucket? (wiki help?))

I can't figure out how to do it. I need some jute for a drying frame, but right-clicking the filled bucked in my inventory with the charred fiber does nothing.
Now, this is not an "urgent help" thread, since right-clicking in a nearby stream seemed to wash the stuff just fine, and netted me a few sootflakes too.
Rather, I think the Wiki needs to be updated to reflect this information, since apparently I bought the nail for a bucket un-necessarily (although the bucket will be useful later), when all I needed to do was use natural water, a cheaper and easier fiber-washing solution. I made an account on the wiki, but can't figure out how to edit the page (I'm sure I will eventually) to reflect my observations.
Has anybody else had similar or different experiences with trying to create milkweed jute?

I do it by left-clicking the bucket and then right-clicking on the fiber.

Bring the bucket to the FIBER?!! I realized a few minutes ago that I hadn't tried that yet (but am fresh out of milkweed, my otherwise grassy biome has none), and now it turns out that that WAS the correct way of doing it.
Oh well, I only lost one fiber in my experimentation (dropping items when standing water = bye-bye).
Thanks for the reply.

Easy just to teleport to Boston and right click the fibre on the water.

If you read my OP, you'd see that I already knew that. I was asking how you use a BUCKET to do it, since I made that bucket and gosh darnit I was gonna USE it!
This information however is NOT on the wiki, neither the "right click charred fiber it in shallow water" nor "right-click the bucket on the fiber". And related to that, I can't figure out how to edit the wiki, so I can't make it more correcter.

You simply create an account, verify via email, and then, when your account is verified, click the "edit" tab. If you're looking for specifics (ie never added anything to a wiki), it works much like a plain text editor does. If you're concerned about formatting, don't worry about it. The important part is to get the information there. Someone with more skills in making it look pretty and proper can do that. If you break the page, it can be reverted with few problems usually.

This is getting somewhat off topic now, but I've registered an account on the wiki, logged in, but no edit tab appears anywhere. A day or two ago I could see an edit-tab, but clicking on it linked (rather mysteriously) only to the "articles that link to cape codfish" page.
