rowboat stolen

If you travel by boat and walk 5 steps away from your rowboat to grab a mushroom someone can just take it with out it being a crime? They can not be pulled like a sled, you would have to actually carry it slowing you to a crawl. Thinking there should be a lock or some mechanism to prevent it being so easy to steal.

better care? it was in full repair. I am talking about the fact someone can simply right click on it and row away

full repair or not you were not taking care of your boat hence why you do not have it anymore

The best thing would be to just be very careful where you stop, because anything not on a personal claim is pretty much up for grabs. Check the minimap and if there is anyone nearby, move on. If you had taken the boat with you, that person who took your boat might have run up and stabbed you in the face instead while you moved at a crawl.

Yes I understand that and there was no one on my radar when I stopped. I am just thinking it is too easy to right click and row away with another's boat. Perhaps a makers mark to give ownership and make it a criminal offense should be implemented. After all what good is a row boat if it is parked on your claim 24/7 which is the only place that would make it a crime to steal.

Its just a boat in the middle of nowhere and no one is around it...

I was around it but it takes longer to get back a few tiles than it takes to right click and row away.
