Destroying Farmer's House.

Postby xentrenous » Mon Feb 04, 2013 6:04 pm

I apologise if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it on the forums for this type of house.

Basically, I want to destroy my Farmer's House so that I can build a townhouse in its place. The Wiki lists its soak value as unknown. My phlegm is 36 and I can't overcome the soak value. Can anyone give me an indication of how much more phlegm I need? >~<

Thanks.

at 50 phlegm it takes about 45 mins so its best advised to have friend take on the destruction of your house if you have lower humors.

Or if its not in a claim, let nature do the work for you... mine is not in a claim and it appears to get pretty red every day.

Although if money is not a major issue for you, declaim and then wait :)

Ouch. Hermitting has its downsides. :P Thanks, Gacrux. Just wanted some kind of indication.

Kalacia - I thought of that, but it'd take a lot to get it back to its current size, sadly. Thanks for your input, though.

around 40+ i was doing around 1% with a metal shovel... so my guess its got a decent soak value BUT that was pre-hp update so that 1% might infact take a hell of a long time to get to 100 :/ best bet is to get 50+ P or a buddy with similar 40+P then stock up food then smash it until you stop doing any damage. regen after that.

I've heard varying reports about whether the tool you use makes any difference. Someone said it doesn't matter, another person said metal shovel and another said pickaxe. Do you think a shovel is better? Cheers.

EDIT: With a metal shovel (haven't tried with anything else yet), I can do 1% with 36 phlegm, in case anyone is interested.

EDIT 2: ...Weird. It worked once and then not again. Is it possible it'll take a few hits at 100% phlegm to show a difference? I mean, is it possible it's doing like half a percent damage or something?

eating while you destroy things is a benefit because you get the max against the soak of w/e it is you are destroying.

Think it took over a hundred crackers combined to destroy a farmer hovel with 'average' 3-4 characters.

This seems kind of ridiculous that it takes so long to destroy objects now. I understand that for raiders this is a detrement but there should be some other mechanism so it doesn't take so long to remove something from your own claim.
It is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9/NIV

I am a proud Christian, post this if you are proud to be one too.

It for sure shouldn't be a lot faster than chopping down a tree.
