Meat Smoker Help

I am looking to build a Meat Smoker but I cant seem to locate the building option. I have kiln construction and the Wiki says that is all I need. Now that the game has been updated has this all changed? If so, how can I obtain the meat smoker?

i believe its tied in to one of the higher level butchery skills that unlocks the smoker.. i think, its been so long since i unlocked it back in dec as well with the current skill changes the wiki might be out of date by a tad.

id make sure you have all the butchery skills unlocked from big game hunting. see if that helps :/ ill check my own skills and see if i can find out for you but cant promise anything on that sorry.

found out why you cant build it. i was wrong lol this is out of the newer update

"Meat Smoker now requires masonry" thats why you cant build it yet. you need masonry hope that helps.

id still suggest you get all butchery skills as you go as the increased meat cuts from rabbits helps a ton until you can kill deer and beavers
