Hello,
Today patch brought something that would make it harder to attack claims.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4059

First askint to be sure:
Crime of Larceny - its stealing from boxes etc. Does not need Waste Claim, right?
Crime of Waste - This one needs Waste Claim to do. So this one is for destroying objects on my claim?
Crime of Murder - obvious one lol.

So, Any person can Enter my claim. However he/she cannot destrony anything taht is ON that claim. Right?
Basicly what i want to know is if I build a wooden fence on my claim does one need to put a Waste Claim to be able to destroy it?

I'm so small that I doubt any1 would bother with putting Waste Claim to get my items lol.

Crimes of larceny: To my understanding as long as nothing is destroy to steal something larceny is still viable
Crime of Waste: Yes

if it is a personal claim they cannot enter it unless they have on criminal asks as it is considered trespassing
if it is a Village claim then trespassing is allowed so they can move about on your claim but wouldn't be able to do anything if they didn't have larceny or waste

and as far as the fence yes they would need to build a waste claim in order to destroy ANY objects on your claim.

Thank you very much. May not have to build stronghold with 10 walls, but always some way to protect against ordinary theft :)

If for some reason someone does try to put up a waste claim (a newbie raider) they would be able to get inside fairly easily after that. so Still think about that.

agreed let this update in no way be a deterrent from you protecting yourself.

Hello, I am sorry, if the thread is inappropriate for this question, but I will shoot anyway. Better than to make a new one and spam the forum.

So last night I was exploring around, while looking for a singing old log. I came upon a small cottage with several baskets in front. There wasn't any claim there and I rummaged through the containers to see what do people hoard. Nifty things. So I took one item, a lighter, since I could not create fire yet (I started the game yesterday, don't judge me!). And I walked away without taking anything else. But I lost some of my humors. I read that this happens when you do a criminal act.

About 30-40 minutes later, I trained settling (finally) and logged off. Tried to log-in about an hour later and to my surprise, I could not. But I could make a new character.

So my question is - is it really a crime to steal an item from an unclaimed spot? Because I do not have trespassing yet. I read, that if they find you by your scent, they can summon your character in-game and punish it and leave it in their claim, so you can't go back for 24 hours. But I am positive there was no claim.

Wondering what happened there - cheers and thank you very much if you take the time to answer!

with criminal acts on you can trespass at the cost of black bile I dont believe unless you have a crime debuff that you left scents.

there is also the possibility that you had the debuff and closed your window thinking you logged out someone found you afk and murdered you.

Thank you very much for the answer. I tried to log again now and it worked. My character is alive and well.
