Hello!
Today i find an easy target for stealing something. I break the one line fence and get some stuffs...
The owner logged in and i fleeing from that area. He hit me once, and i get on my boat and i flee on the river.

So im going to home and close me gates, no crime no fighting whit anyone. And i logged out, couple hours later, i logged in and my char disappear.

How can somebody kill me, if i no have crime, and no in fighting when i logged out.
Its a bug? Or what?

When you commit criminal acts you leave scents, which can be used to track down your homestead and summon you even if you're offline.

And they can summon me only at my homestead?

If you have no homestead then they can summon you anywhere

Yes, at either your leanto, or on your claim.

Yes, this is why I just don't steal from people, ever. If I were going to, it would be at claims a minimum of 3, 4 hours away, with probably some heinous hill climbing or lake crossings in between.

But then again, I am very cautious.

Being a successful thief is not that difficult, but takes plannng for sure. Also, before my first heist I kissed my theif goodbye. The skill description for Larceny specificully mentions, for pilgrims not long for this world, or something close...

I will add that, the best thing to do wih your ill gotten gains seems to be creating another theif asap. ;D

This so much. If you read through some of the forum drama between factions and from raiding, you'll find that some of the hardcore raiders do it just so they can get cheap stuff to level up another alt. Anything else is just bonus. (Why feed a no or low humor alt the expensive stuff when it just needs the dregs laying around in newbie camps?)

Do I read correctly that you even can leave scents, when you dont have "criminal acts" activated?
