The ground may need to be flatter, but I suspect you require clearance between the minehole entrance and any constructed obstacle.

It looks like you didn't place them lined up with the tiles, did you ctrl place them or tile (default) place them?

#1 They are not locked to the grid correctly (hold shift + spin mouse wheel to lock correctly to grid)
#2 the ground needs to be perfectly flat across all 4 tiles (the 2 corner posts + central 2 tiles)
#3 have fun rebuilding them with the new hp :3

Would it help to have a TOP DOWN Screenshot?

They are fairly aligned.. there is like 2 or so pixals apart i guess?
How many tiles between do you need to put - 2 right?
Im not gonna go for a new mine, I can just make 2 new posts in front of the other ones .. same thing

Exactly 2 tiles apart, your problem was you didn't let the cornerposts snap to the grid (it does this by default, then just use shift+mousewheel to rotate them to line up with the square).
You can have top down view by switching to freestyle camera in Enders Client.
I always always always level the ground first before I build anything. I just like doing it right the first time, to avoid any problems in the future.

posts are not aligned at all. if you look at the 2nd picture from the top, the bottom right post has about 10mm space to its south. so its more north then the left post preventing a gate being formed as by game terms they are not aligned. typically its best when doing gates to have the ground 100% flat across all 4 tiles so you have very little chance of gate placement failure, and de-snapping from grid can be bad with walls i find, unless its the first starter post. as its super easy to miss-align the posts that they are off grid by a fraction of a mm and there by preventing you from building the wall/gate correctly.

Measure twice, cut once. Especially in Salem!
