I had a farmers house built near my claim and it just disappeared one day and all of the boxes that were inside are still there, but now outside. Today a turkey farm disappeared also! what is happening? is this a glitch or what?

If they were near your claim, can I assume they were not on the claim? If they are not on a claim they can be destroyed or simply decay.

They need to be on a claim (that has money in the stone for upkeep) to prevent them from decaying. Or somebody came along and smashed them, if they did smash them while they were on your claim then there should be scents to track them if you turn on tracking.

Yes, items decay when not on claimed land.
