They go for hours and hours. Lucky they do too, or it'd be too easy to find people and raid them.

If you're new and have low humours, like less than 20, be careful if you get a message saying the sun sinks low on the horizon. That's called the Darkness and your life will drain away until you die. Almost happened to me when I walked too far. I wanted to see how far the map goes too.

But if you get your humours up, it drains less or not at all.

Also I was just wondering how I could get someone I know to be able to find my homestead. I have no clue how to get to Boston from my Homestead.

You have to set a homestead secret in your buddy list (ctrl+B), and then give it to your friend so they can enter your secret in their buddy list. Then you can right click each other's names on the buddy list to chat/party/watever. Party up and get an arrow to town, or he can get an arrow to your base if you are there.


Also, your friend can teleport to your claim stone (it has to be a claimstone, buildable with the settling skill) by using your homestead secret that the wilderness guide the first time he goes to teleport away from town.

Honestly, I'm not sure how big the maps extend yet. I am guessing them to be 50,000 tiles by 50,000 tiles at this point. A tile is the size of one minimap, or 100 pixels by 100 pixels. It takes roughly half a minute to cross a minimap tile, depending on obstructions (cliffs, trees, etc.) if you are just walking without Wander or Run.

Is the end of the map limited by unclimbable cliffs or does it just stop in the middle of nowhere?
