Lost. How do I find my way back?

Hey guys I read the wiki and didn't see anything pertaining to my problem. I wandered away from from homestead that I got when the guide gave me a free ride to the wilderness. But now I can not find my way back to Boston or the little homestead that i was given nor can I teleport. I have an indian arrowhead and don't want to dump it unless I really have to. Any way for me to get home to either Boston or homestead?

Those are like mapple leaves. If someone picks em up, it takes some time(days/weeks) before they regrow.

An indian arrowhead isn't worth very much. To sell it, you need a feather, and those are much less common. I would just dump it and go home.

A tip, don't be possessive this early. Make use of every inspirational you make/find and eat to restore humour. But don't be possessive. You will find many more arrowheads in the future. MANY. They are quite common.
What you can do (if you're near grassland) is to collect 2 hay (10 grass) and some logs to make a new leanto. Rightclick it to make it your homestead and then teleport back to the server city.

Or you could go to the Arcana subforum, and grab the mapping tool. Salem saves the minimaps of every session in your C:\Users\(your user name)\Salem\map, the mapping tool can be used to view those maps

The map tool is your best best It is fairly easy to use, just find two matching tiles, ctrl left click them, ctrl click both map parts on the list on the right, then right click and select merge.

OMG! I just found my area on this map! Awesome!!
...and my explorer was walking in the right direction before I failed and lost access to the area.
