There needs to be but the official word is that none are planned.

Loftar said, "There are no plans for any wipes." This IMO means that they don't plan to wipe, but you never know, things change. I personally do not wish for wipes. It takes me months to accomplish what some bigwigs can in just days. I'd go crazy starting over. Would probably join a village of a trusted bigwig instead of hermit alone again....lol.

I think that there would be an uproar from players that spent RL money in the cash shop ... unless they just gave you a credit for whatever money you spent to be used after the wipe, if any that is :D

It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

They already said they would. People shouldn't expect something like that either since you could lost it all in the game.

Specifically if they're forced to wipe characters, they will refund you what you purchased. However there may be a timelimit on that (purchases more than 3 months ago not counted or something).

I frankly don't know, because that promise was made a long time ago and there has been no need for a wipe.

hard to say, typically when a game sells items ingame for real money they keep a record of all items bought and the amount paid for each account. so they have the ability to pull up a list of every active account for the last Xyears of game service and refund the amount or item easily. there really would be little excuse for them to say "oops we have to wipe and arent refunding/replacing any items bought" unless they some how had a DBS crash at the finance server hub that wiped out the accounting records and the backups lol (that would be one major fubar if that happened)

so if they did infact wipe i cant see them not being able to atleast refund the amount bought on the account maybe not the items but the "silver" used to buy item mall stuff surely is recorded for such issues.
