With the tracking box they can track the perp's homestead, the perp if they are online, or the item if it was theft. Tracking of those 3 gives the ranger an arrow above their head pointing to what they are tracking to. When they find the criminal's homestead, they can pick the scent from their inventory, right click the summonable area*, and the criminal appears there defenseless if offline. If the perp was online in boston, they can be summoned.
*For claims the perp can be summoned anywhere on the claim, for lean-to's it is about a 12 tile radius circle around the lean-to.
Not sure about scent time. Scents in inventory last a lot longer than the exclamation point on the ground, but you can only track with the exclamation point, so you can be summoned far longer than you can be tracked.
Thanks, basically similar to Haven then.
Does no-one know the time on scent expiration?

LOL, okay so what's the point of being a criminal again? Seems to me it's like asking to start a new character.
A little bit of excitement and something you really wanted/needed - followed by a lot of 'why did I do that?' and 'Was it worth it?' -
Only time will tell .........
