Hi,

Does influence stack up if i was to reseed my fields with the same type of crops ? For example, the first harvest gave 5% influence, if i reseed with the same type, will it add to the 5% or just reset ?

Thanks :)

Each plant adds to one bar and reduces the other bars by 5.

As a tip:

20% of the 'infuence' number when you plant a field equates to 1 in the Influence bar.

Thanks again for the info :)

How many points are needed to get tier two/three for the next rotation ?

From the wiki:
  • if the total influence is between 0% and 50% the field produces all tier 1 products.
  • if the total influence is between 50% and 100% the field produces both tier 1 and tier 2 products.
  • if the total influence is between 100% and 150% the field produces tier 2 products.
  • if the total influence is between 150% and 200%, the field produces both tier 2 and tier 3 products.
See http://salemwiki.info/index.php/Agriculture for the details ;)

some nice tidbits i learnt on my own not provided by the wiki, if you plant a crop and pump the base influence bar to 1000% you get 50 points right off the bat to that crops feed meter. its an extremely time consuming process though. not the kind of thing you would really do for 10+ fields as it means you spend 1 week gathering enough stock to get 1k on half the fields lolol if you are a hermit.

as for crop tier from my own observations, you have to have both feed meters of the target crop above 50 points so like cerial you need both of its bars at 50+ and then increase its influence to get the next typ of crop.

as having 500% influence will still only give you oatmeal if you dont have the meters set up for it.

hence why you should get three fields and then spend a week setting up the crop rotation correctly.

Thanks for all the replies but i am totally confused :?

At the moment, i have fields of Cereals growing with an average of 200% influence on each field planted. The second bar is at 12 right now.

My goal is to get a high tier plantation of Pumpkin later on.

What would be the steps to follow to get to that point ?

If you want pumpkins you should have started to plant cotton since it drains the influence that cereal gives. And as some guy above said that they give to one and drain from the others isnt true. Each crop drains only from 2.
