So today i tried putting up my first fence only to realize I needed space between two corner posts and not regular fence to make a gate. Now trying to destroy the fence and it is ridiculously hard to do. already used 10 things of food and only destroyed 20% of a single fence post. There HAS to be an easier way to remove my own fencing, if not its a pretty serious flaw in the game and should be changed.

You only do damage to structures if you get past their Soak Value (5 for split-rail fences), which requires your current Phlegm to be above that point to even damage it. The higher above it, the more damage done per swing. The easiest thing to do would be to raise your phlegm another 5-10 points and then try again, it'll come down much quicker.

If you notice the % done to it stop increasing, you fell below the Soak Value so just regen to full and start over.
