I accidently used the wilderness guide and got teleported into randomness now, now when i return to boston and try to return to my claim, I cant get to it anymore. Is there anyway for me to return to it or have i basicly lost all my work?

use the menu (Adventure -> Travel -> Home) while in Boston

I cant, it teleports me to that random spot the wilderness guide sent me too.

hum... I guess when you buy the guide service it sets your new homestead, so the old one is lost unless you know how to get there from Boston? I never been in that situation but that's what I think it's happening

Sadly, I don't think there's any way to get back to your previous claim after you've done this, unless you know where it was on the map. However, if you use Enders client, it saves tiles from your play-sessions so you could download the map tool and dig through the old map folders to try and figure out where it was.

Why does everything in this game have to be so ridiculously unforgiving. I pressed a button that says take me to a random location. It didnt take "abandon anything and everything you ever worked for".

Well, it is still in beta, and yours is an odd situation. Most people establish their first claim long after using their free wilderness port.

I think the idea behind it is, why do you want to go to a random location unless to establish a claim, and imagine how frustrating it would be for a new player if they used their port, and then shortly thereafter died to a timber rattler, and could never get back to where they were.

Maybe post an idea in the suggestion forum to give the wilderness guide a confirmation prompt along with "If you do this, you will be given a leanto, and that leanto will be set as your homestead."

yeah, a simple warning would be nice, if the player already have a homestead
