What happens when you leave the game?

Postby Tutis » Sat Dec 08, 2012 6:25 pm

It would surely be unfair for someone to log off during the middle of a battle or when frightened from afar by some person. Might even happen to me or someone else panicking not to lose everything they worked for and quickly turning off the game.

Though we can't see it, is there anything our character will be doing during that time in the game?

You can log off as long as you don't have a criminal buff on you or if you are not in combat. Many people will :lo when they see a red dot pop up. This is really the only use for guns atm

Your character stays ingame if you're under the influence of the crime debuff or if you're engaged in a combat.

Recently to address possible non-logouts for ingame effects, use the :act lo command to log out. This checks if the character is allowed to log out with the server before actually closing your client.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.
