Friends,Claims,Homesteads

Postby Stormie » Sat Dec 08, 2012 4:23 am

Ok, I searched the forums, looked around at the wiki, but I did not find what im looking for.. Thus comes the questions

My friend made a claim (me and him together), he owns the right to the claim, but how can he add me to where I can use it?

I have a lean-to spawned in the middle of no where, how can I make his claim my homestead? Or is there even this option in Salem?

Basic thing is were wanting to play together, live together, work together, and use the same claim, items weather or not he is online.

Is there anyway to do this? Or is Salem more-or-less a single player game? Seems odd if it is that way being an mmo...might as well play it offline XD

You cannot both make the claim your homesteads. One can have the claim as a homestead and allow the other rights to it. The second could use a leanto as a homestead on the claim however.

For the claim owner to give rights, he must go into the claim menu (the same one he uses to extend the claim). In that menu you should see colored squares. He needs to click on a color and allow all three options, then in his buddy list assign you that color. For example, I have purple as my color for someone with full rights, green as my color for just trespassing rights. Then in my buddy menu, I have only my most trusted as purple and friends with green (then other colors for other things like orange for good traders or neighbors, but there are no rights to my claim for orange).

Hope that helps.

I think that does clear up a lot of the confusion. So everything I want is possible. I guess I need to get him to figure it out :P

Thanks for you help :D
