Hi, im a new player and i left my leanto to go gathering etc. Now iv gotten a few basic items, but i have no clue where my leanto is, and i cant teleport to it without leaving behind all my hard work. How do I find it?

You either find your way back to it or you have to eat/study all what you have found, drop the rest and teleport. Next time when you start going away from your homestead try memorizing landmarks

There is no landmarks... its in the middle of a giant plain, took me 10 minutes to find other terrain. Not mention i used hours making the tools i have now.

Then create new leanto and settle where you are now.

You can navigate on plains too. It's harder but doable. Just memorize minimap..even on plains you have 3 different grass colors
I don't have problems going back to my place even after spending few hours traveling. It's just that after some time you remember some points on map/minimap and it becomes easier to go back.

PS. What tools you created? Axe/shovel is kinda easy to be remade after you have skills to make em

It says it requires hiking, im no where near getting that. Why would they make it so unfriendly to find your leanto again.

You might want to read sevenless guide to get you started faster. Hiking is really easy skill to obtain.

If you don't have Hiking after hours of hard work, there must be something wrong..?

Next time dig around your leanto, pave, anything.. just mark your area if you have problems finding your way back.
Using mapping tools might help aswell, but might be a bit complicated atm for you.

oh well, in the end it didnt matter. I found a rattle snake that hated me so much it chased me for 10 miles before killing me, so now im back at square one, i think ill just find a more user friendly game.

You got KOed not killed. You only lost 2 profficiency points.
But if you are afraid of dying you should clearly play other game ;p (dying(killed by player)=have to start new char)

He probably dosn't have enders, it took me hours to do next to nothing on my first char because you can't see anything without radar.
