Trade Barrels @ Town - Are they secure?

Are the Trade Barrels at town secure when 2 people open them up for a trade? Or Would a third person be able to open it up and ninja steal?

They definitely are NOT secure. If you pick the right barrel and stand at it in the right position, nobody else can approach, though.

They are not totally safe, just make sure you and your trade partners are the only ones near the barrel.

If you trust dageir it's a method to avoid scamming. That's a version of "safety". What op seems concerned with though is theft more than scamming.
