oil boards failure rate

Postby ivanthegent2 » Wed Dec 05, 2012 10:49 pm

I have recently been trying to oil some boards i pressed 350 corn seeds which was enough to get the trough to 35%, put in 8 boards and 7 boards poped using all the oil, the 8th needs more oil.

Out of the 7 6 were warp and 1 was an oiled board?

Is this a typing sucess rate?

Is there a better way to do it to get more successes?

Any insight /advice would be great.

Just bad rolls on that trough. Try to make more in case you get unlucky on an oiling again, I run 4 all the time and have a little over 50% average so far with them.
<milonti> Psshh, tears are tier 5 products.

I coulda sworn there's a skill you can increase to up your chances. But I couldn't find the bit I read stating that.

Edit: And it appears I was wrong.
It's been neat to see the evolution of a game. Salem has come so far, and still has far to go. Although frustrating, I think it's been an experience worth the effort.

If you ever find which skill it is i would be interested to know. or are you perhaps thinking of hammer and nails improving the chance to plain boards?

I think a good rule of thumb is if you're taking your boards all the way to the oiling process, expect to get 5 oiled boards for every board pile :P.

Agreed completely after searching through every post the devs have made in the past month.
