Griefers... Compared to H&H

Let me begin by saying I only played H&H for a very short period and never achieved much in the game. What I can say is I played long enough to have my property stolen multiple times. However, it seems in Salem that robbery is not done as often as before. Does anyone else feel this way. I think it is because there isn't purity on must items yet and it seems rather easy to get a camp up and running and producing everything you could need thererfore less desire to steal from others. Just wondering what your opinions were on the subject.
An example, I have a camp in Jamestown, absolutely no defences not even one wall, I have farms, tanning, kiln, breads and no one has stolen one item from me yet. I played H&H for 1 week and had my camp raided daily.

The community is diluted by fresh blood too. Not as much attitude towards stealing as the HnH crowd.

I think there are also limitations on how far people really want to explore, For HnH when ever I set out to explore/ go hunting I really don't think about how far I want to go out, since I can just teleport right back with everything, Plus the river systems make it really easy to get around fast. As for Salem you're having to be more aware on where you are and how far you want to go out (especially on a hunting/ foraging trip), No sense on walking for 2 hours and then having trouble getting back.

Didn't we have a bunch more raiding before the update where they removed environmental purity nodes (for dirt, water, foraged items, etc.)? And the nasty kind where the idea was to take territory rather than loot.

Griefing is taking an action that gives no benefit to yourself purely to cause grief to others, hence the term griefing.
If you have a claim with no wall and things that are worth stealing and someone steals them because they feel they have something to gain then that is not griefing.
If the question is "why are people not taking my easy to steal stuff" it is probably because by leaving scents they would be risking a character that is likely worth more than what they could steal.
