shark bait lure

Posted: Wed Dec 05, 2012 12:57 amNah they last ~ the same amount of time any other lure does. They do however have a much higher chance of catching rare fish. I caught a bunch of red herrings with it (5-10 iirc, my average other lure was hauling 15 fish worth of normal stuff though)
The thing is, I'm fairly certain that "tier" of fish isn't actually implemented in the game yet. It skipped right past the hellish halibut and blue-fin tuna I was able to catch at that exact spot with a stick spinner. And I know a villager of mine found a spot that gave herrings 1/10 fish or so when fishing with worms.
In general fishing is just really underpowered right now compared to what it takes to actually do it and what you can get out of it. Other than worm fishing for red herrings though, that's pretty awesome.
