Is firearms worth getting? How is damage determined, still by YB like melee? Wiki just has that there are changes comming for it. That was in july......did changes happen?

If you plan to PvP, yes get it...so you can tag your opponent into combat if he tries to run. Otherwise dont get it, because it only does .5 blood per shot. I'm sure the devs got some awesome gun/gunsmithing **** planned for the future though.

It can kill snakes if you stand in shallow water where it can't venture (15 shots if I read the numbers right). The deer might die of old age before the firearm killed it assuming you can keep the deer on the opposite side of a deep stream.
