what object can the sled carry? anvil? carpenters bench? chests? containers?

yes, dont know but i expect so, yes, yes but im sure not shed. Basically it carries most liftables.

I was wondering about what it can carry to, for a single player it can help me a lot but can it actually carry trees, animals, stone boulders ?

The only thing I can't carry in a sled is a boat :/
